Work on water mains
Waterbedrijf Groningen supplies high quality tap water. In order to do so, the water pipes must be up to standard. So, we regularly replace old or weakened water pipes. Did you receive a card in your mailbox? On that card, we indicate the time frame during which you will experience either no water or reduced water supply. We apologize for any inconvenience!
Our recommendation is to have an ample supply of (drinking) water on hand. Please refrain from using your (dish)washing machine during the mentioned period.
After the work has been completed
Afterwards, open the cold water tap and let the water run until it becomes clear again. During the maintenance work, there might be some rust particles that could get into the water. So, after the work is finished, open the cold water tap and let the water flow until it’s clear once more. Once the water is clear, you can resume using all your appliances as usual.
